What is in Juz 30
Juz 30, often called Juz 'Amma, covers the last 37 surahs, from An-Naba (78) to An-Nas (114). It is named after its first word, 'amma, about what, as An-Naba asks what people are questioning one another about (78:1). These are short surahs, mostly Meccan, and many Muslims learn them first. An-Naba points to the earth as a cradle and mountains as pegs (78:6-7). 'Abasa recalls the Prophet ﷺ turning from a blind man (80:1-2). At-Takwir says the buried girl will be asked for what crime she was killed (81:8-9). Al-Fajr ends calling the soul at peace to return to its Lord (89:27-30).
Ash-Shams says success belongs to whoever purifies the soul (91:9). Ad-Duhaa assures the Prophet ﷺ his Lord has not left him (93:3), and Ash-Sharh repeats that with hardship comes ease (94:5-6). Al-'Alaq contains the first revealed words (96:1-5), and Al-Qadr describes the Night of Decree as better than a thousand months (97:3). Az-Zalzalah says an atom's weight of good or evil will be seen (99:7-8). Al-'Asr sums up the way out of loss (103:1-3). The juz ends with Al-Ikhlas on Allah's oneness and the two surahs of seeking refuge, Al-Falaq and An-Nas.
